Rector’s Conference closed with a plenary session

The final part of the rector’s conference had a plenary session about the constraints and solutions to achieve a sustainable model of university sport. At first, María Hernández, vice-rector for Degree Studies of the University of Malaga, talked about good practices on the matter, using her own university as an example, explaining how the dynamics work for them. Then, the Vice-Rector of the University of Coimbra Financing, Amílcar Falcão explained how the project of UC in university sport has been developed and how t has grown through simple measures as promoting physical activity in the community and creating competitions between students residences. To close the session, Yves Le Lostecque, Head of Sports Unit European Commission, clarified some financial topic concerning the support of the European Commission. He also talked about Eramus+, a project created by EC to promote universities sport.

The Rector’s Conference ended with the signature of a document by all the rectors present.
