Fernando Gomes visited the sports complex of the University Stadium, at Coimbra, to inaugurate de new synthetic field, where football matches will occur. 

The ex-basketball athlete spoke about the importance of physical activity at young people's education and described it as a fundamental tool for their personal growth, mostly when conjugated with the academic life.  

Football is one of the 13 sports competing at the EUG and will start its games on Sunday.
