Opening Ceremony Plan

Opening Ceremony Plan

Timetable Transportation Opening Ceremony

1. Before ceremony

There will be specific schedules on this day to drive the athletes to the ceremony. The athletes’ transportation will be divided in two:

1. Teams who don’t have competition during July 15th afternoon;

2. Teams who will be competing at 3pm on July 15th afternoon.

The athletes that end competition between 5 pm and 7 pm on July 15th will be taken to their accommodation in the end of it, for 15 minutes to drop luggage and then afterwards directly to the dinner venue, close to the OPCER venue.

For those who don’t compete on July 15th afternoon:

Starting from 4.30pm there will be a shuttle to make your trip from your accommodation to the venue of dinner before the OPCER.

We ask you all to be punctual, because the ones who can’t pick up the shuttle won’t have transportation to the OPCER.

For the teams who will be in accommodations ACC303, ACC307, ACC410, ACC411, the nearest ones to the open ceremony place, you will walk there, with the help of an attaché that will guide you to the dinner place.

On that venue, you will have a lounge area to enjoy the afternoon until dinner (which will be hold there) and the start of the OPCER (gathering up starts at 7.30 pm).

For those who compete (only for the teams that have the last game on July 15th at 3pm):

After the ending of the competitions, there will be a bus to take the teams to their accommodation, only to leave sports material in the bedrooms.

You will have, at maximum, 15 minutes, no more.

The bus that takes you to the accommodation from the competition is going to be the same that takes you to dinner.

We ask you all to respect the schedules, this way you will have the time to dinner and be on time for the beginning of the open ceremony.

For the teams that will be at accommodation ACC303, ACC307, ACC410, the nearest ones to the open ceremony place, will go by foot, guided by an attaché who will take you to the dinner place.

On that venue, you will have a lounge area to enjoy the afternoon until dinner (which will be hold there) and the start of the OPCER (gathering up starts at 7.30 pm).

2. After Ceremony

Every athlete will have transportation, at the same time, at the end of the ceremony.

The transportation will be direct to each accommodation. Outside the open ceremony there will be identifications for the place that you need to head in order to go to each accommodation.

For the teams accommodated at ACC203, ACC302, ACC303, ACC304, ACC305, ACC306, ACC307, ACC308, ACC309, ACC401, ACC403, ACC405, ACC406, ACC409, ACC410, ACC411 – because you are close to your accommodation, you will walk home, with the help of an attaché who will be identified with the name of your accommodation on the outside of the open ceremony, in the square of Porta Férrea.
