"Inter-Residências" tournament had its kickoff yesterday with the first games of the Futsal Tournament, after the presentation ceremony, which happened in Alegria University Dormitory.

During the presentation, it was announced that the fourth edition of "Inter-Residências" will have Pedro Moreira's name, in tribute to the youngster who was a former deputy and member of this tournament, that passed away last October.

This event happens in the scope of EUG's 2018 Educational Programme. This is a sports tournament held every year by the UC for students living in students dormitories in Coimbra.

This initiative was created by the EUG Organizing Committee and is part of the legacy the Games will bring to Coimbra and the students' community.

The sports of the "Inter-Residências" tournament are Basketball 3x3, Futsal and Volleyball, all sports with male and female competitions. The programme also includes a Trivia competition.

The sporting events will take place on some of EUG's 2018 venues, like the Futsal tournament, which started last night in Pavillion 3 of Coimbra's University Stadium.
