Mário Santos, EUG2018 Secretary-General, was today in Brussels for a meeting in the European Commission building. All project coordinators from the approved proposals for the Erasmus+ Programme were in Belgium's capital city to discuss each project development since the EU approval.

The EUG2018 project is one of only ten to receive a 500 thousand euros financing among hundreds of projects.

This project object is the preparation, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and dissemination of the European Universities Games edition in 2018 (EUG2018), a not-for-profit European Sport Event that will take place in Coimbra from 15th to 28st July 2018 and will host over 4000 participants, which are students of more than 300 universities from over 30 European countries. 

The European Universities Games is a multisport event involving athletes 

from universities of Europe, held every two years, since 2012, in different European Universities cities. This event is organised under the umbrella of the European University Sports Associations and Coimbra was selected to host the edition of 2018.
